Less is more more is less

Dear Readers,

Hi, I'm Kaori. I'm a woman /wife /movie&travel&fasion lover /amateur cook /realist/ lawyer /corporate worker/ and a true believer of "having not just 2 but more than 2 points of views on everything is really important".

I love to share things that I believe the best. Those things include anything, starting from my philosophy, study method to just an item sold at a $ store.

For a long time, I wanted to have my own website to tell you some stories but had so many excuses not to do, but this ends today. At being middle 30s, I think I piled up many experiments and experiences that form my thinking and actions of today and some of them work very well with me so far, and hope it would do too with you.

Here's some promises that I make; (i) I will post my articles in English and Japanese, (ii) I will recommend only things that I truly believe the best, and (iii) will be honest.

The title of this blog "Less is more more is less" seems contradicts each other. But I want to be flexible in finding suitable situation where some time the additional work or wasted experience paid off in future.

随分長いこと、自分のサイトを持ってみたいと思っていましたが、なんとなく言い訳ばかりして実現していませんでした。そんな状況にさようなら。30半ばになって、これまでやってきた日々の実験や経験が今の私の考え方や行動を形作っていて、うまく機能するものも多いので、これらが誰かの役に立てばと思っています。

このサイトでは、次のことを約束したいと思います。①ポストは英語と日本語で書くこと、②本当に良いとおもった物・事だけをシェアすること、そして③正直であること。

タイトルの　"Less is More More is Less"　ですが、Less is more　とは、「少なければ少ないほど豊か」であること、物事はシンプルであればあるほど、大切なものが見えやすくなるという意味で、しばしば使われます。そして、それに一見矛盾するような　More is lessを付け足したのは、無駄に見えるような作業や体験もあとで役立つ、場合応じて柔軟に考えられるようでありたい、という気持ちを込めたからです。
